Two quiet minutes with God

What the app does

1. Four rooms. Today, Chat, Bible and Explore.

2. A verse for today, read aloud. Today opens on a verse chosen for you, then two more passages, one at a time. Tap Listen to hear each one read slowly and calmly, even offline. The readings are recorded with a generated voice from the King James text. Keep the one that speaks to you.

3. Passages for how your heart is. Choose from twenty-two ways your heart can be, or let Today choose. More than eight hundred passages, each taken straight from Scripture.

4. Pray it back to God. Touch the word that stays with you and pray the verse in silence, ending with Amen. Or pray in your own words: speak or type, and receive Scripture, a short reflection, and a prayer.

5. Chat about faith and Scripture. Start from a topic card or ask your own question in the Ask a question bar, by voice or text. Every answer comes back to the Bible.

6. The Bible, where you left off. Read the full King James Bible offline with a book and chapter picker and search for any word or phrase. Select a verse to save it, listen, ask about it or reflect on it.

7. Explore. Walk with Elijah through a seven-day painted retelling at your own pace; stories are retellings, and the linked passages carry the words of Scripture. Be Still lets you touch still water and watch the ink settle, calm a storm-tossed sea (Mark 4:39), or look up at a sky full of stars (Psalm 147:4) — try Still Waters in your browser. Let your time with God grow a Peace Garden. Your Journal, devotion paths and Journeys are here too.

8. Keep your prayers. Return to your reflections, devotion entries and saved verses in your private Journal. Journal entries stay on your device.

Good to know

• Available for iPhone and iPad. There is no Android version.

• Reflections and prayers are generated from Scripture and are not reviewed by clergy. The app is a companion for prayer, not a replacement for church, pastoral care, counseling, or emergency help.

• Help is available from Profile (open the avatar in any room) and the prayer/reflection help controls. Story threads include help in their About sheet.

• The bundled KJV Bible, the recorded verse readings and the Be Still experiences work offline; the Bible and Be Still remain free. Generated responses need an internet connection. Sign in with Apple is optional, including for purchases. Restore Purchases is available in Profile for non-premium users. Any eligible introductory offer, its duration, price and renewal terms appear on the purchase screen. Read how your data is handled in the Privacy Policy.
