Is Jesus Says free?
The app is free to download, and your first successful reflection comes before any purchase prompt. The bundled Bible and Be Still experiences remain free. Plus offers monthly and annual subscriptions for extended guided access. Any eligible introductory offer begins at App Store purchase confirmation; review its price, duration and renewal terms in the app.
What happens to my reflections?
Your journal and personal transcripts stay in device-only encrypted storage. Saved verses may sync through your own iCloud Keychain settings. To create a response, the text of your reflection is sent to our servers and to Google’s Gemini service, which may retain it under Google’s own policy; we don’t keep conversation history on our servers afterward. We don’t sell your data, and you can delete it anytime from Profile → Manage My Data. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Is this a replacement for church or a pastor?
No. Jesus Says is a companion for prayer and Scripture in the in-between moments — not a substitute for community, communion, or pastoral care. It's a doorway back into Scripture, not a destination.
Who writes the reflections and prayers?
They are generated from Scripture for what you share, with every verse reference linked to the full King James text in the app. They are not reviewed by clergy or religious authorities, so treat them as a starting point for prayer and study, not as a word from your pastor.
What is Still Waters?
Still Waters is a quiet moment from Be Still, in the app’s Explore room: touch the water, drop ink, and watch it settle while you rest with Psalm 46:10. There are no goals and nothing to finish. You can try it in your browser; the app adds Peace, Be Still and Consider the Heavens.
Who reads the verses aloud?
Today’s verses are read slowly and calmly from the King James text. The readings are recorded with a generated voice, not read by a person, and they are in the app, so they work offline.
What translation of the Bible do you use?
We currently use the King James Version (KJV) for the in-app reader. You can read full passages and save verses for later.
Will it work on Android?
Jesus Says is available for iPhone and iPad. We do not currently offer an Android version.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Through the App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Jesus Says. Apple handles billing — we never see your card.
